As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest clients, I am seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer for our retail client in Coventry area. This is a 2 - 3 year project with a hybrid model (2 days per week onsite).

The project and responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and executing enterprise-scale data migration strategies.
  • Building high-performance pipelines and data migration engines using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, Python, and robust SQL scripting.
  • Constructing optimized, transactional data packages and schema mappings.
  • Orchestrating ELT/ETL: Building fault-tolerant automated ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Implementing CDC: Configuring Change Data Capture (CDC) logic in Azure Synapse Analytics for incremental delta loads.
  • Developing data transformations, file partitioning, and data cleansing using Spark DataFrames.
  • Building native object-oriented utility applications in Python for API payload validation.
  • Optimizing data schemas: Authoring advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and analytical views to model Dedicated SQL Pools.

Minimum Experience Needed: 5+ years of active cloud data engineering experience.

Official Microsoft DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate professional certification is required.
