Opportunity Data Modeler. Develop data architecture solutions to unlock the data and insights necessary to support business users and strategic planning, monitoring Mortgage and Savings Portfolio. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills as well as stakeholder management.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- 5 years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling.
- Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
- Data Analysis and Modelling.
- Creating Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models.
- Stakeholder management.
- Functional knowledge in Mortgages.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage with business users to assess their information needs and review the business process and conceptualize the entities.
- Determine/Develop ER diagrams, logical data model.
- Transform the logical data model into physical model and work with DBA team to instantiate and manage the data.
- Collaborate with the BI and Analytics teams on creating the optimized, reusable semantic model, complete with metadata and lineage information.
- Optimize the model to ensure predictable performance.
- Maintain the metadata and its structure.
- Recommend and establish standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance.
- Strong working skills in SQL, understanding of the basic principles of data warehousing and multi-dimensional data modelling.
- Has the ability to present data in a range of formats, while understanding the audience.
- Strategic thinker and able to make decisions based on sound judgement.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new skills.
- Experience in Erwin would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in BFS would be beneficial but not essential.
