As Solution Architect, you will sit at the junction of business strategy and technical execution, owning solution design, guiding delivery teams, and ensuring the platform delivers tangible commercial value.
Key Responsibilities- Translate merchandising and category business requirements into robust Blue Yonder Category Management solutions.
- Architect scalable, secure SaaS solutions aligned with enterprise and retail operating models.
- Provide technical leadership across the end-to-end implementation lifecycle.
- Ensure business processes are aligned with Blue Yonder architectural and best-practice standards.
- Lead design governance, ensuring consistency across HQ and store-level implementations.
- Act as a senior technical interface for business, delivery partners, and global teams.
- Identify architectural and delivery risks, driving pragmatic mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all solutions directly support the retailers strategic and commercial objectives.
- Oversee quality and integrity of functional, technical, and deployment deliverables.
- Champion continuous improvement across design, delivery, and adoption.
- Proven involvement in 3+ large-scale Blue Yonder Category Management implementations.
- Deep expertise in CKB environment preparation, installation, and configuration.
- Strong knowledge of macro and micro space management and assortment processes.
- Hands-on experience leading design workshops and producing Functional, Technical, and Deployment Designs.
- Ability to define and execute Proofs of Concept for customer-specific requirements.
- Expert-level configuration of Blue Yonder CM, including security and process flows.
- Strong SQL Server and SQL scripting capability.
- Hands-on development experience in .NET (C# or VB) for Blue Yonder extensions or customisations.
- Experience coordinating delivery across distributed and global teams.
- Track record of creating, reviewing, and assuring project deliverables.
- Exposure to Cognos Reporting within retail or merchandising environments.
- Ability to develop user training materials and lead structured training sessions.
