As a Software Testing & Issue Triaging Engineer, you will be preparing vehicles for testing, planning and executing test activities, and analyzing data to ensure features perform as intended. You will be hands-on with cutting-edge technology, from functional testing and software validation to exploring real-world scenarios on public roads and proving grounds. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will work across embedded systems, vehicle platforms, and global teams to bring new features to life. From debugging in real vehicles to collaborating with architects and engineers across the business, you will play a key role in delivering safe, intelligent, and seamless driving experiences.
Your responsibilities:
- Generate test cases for the features being validated
- Prepare vehicles and ensure they are ready for all planned test activities
- Execute test plans in line with defined methods and processes
- Carry out defect validation and ensure accurate reporting
- Record test results, update defect logs, and upload data promptly
- Manage test equipment procurement and create suitable test environments
- Collaborate closely with validation teams
- Support cross-functional teams by investigating software issues and providing expert-level technical insight
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or related field
- Technical expertise in test facility and vehicle preparation
- Proven experience validating driver assistance features at vehicle level (ADAS experience highly desirable)
- Certification and experience conducting tests on proving grounds
- Proficiency with data acquisition tools (e.g., CANape, CANalyzer, INCA, Simulink, ADTF)
- Strong ability to analyze and report test data accurately
- Skilled in diagnostic fault-finding and interpreting engineering documents, with a structured problem-solving approach
- Full UK (or EU equivalent) driving license with a clean record
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
