We're looking for a GCP Data Engineer to join an exciting 12-month contract in London, working on the design and delivery of scalable cloud-based data platforms. This is a strong opportunity for someone with hands-on GCP experience who enjoys building reliable data solutions across both batch and real-time environments.
You’ll be involved in data engineering initiatives supporting modern analytics and AI/ML capabilities, working closely with technical and business teams to deliver secure, high-quality data solutions. The role offers a good mix of hands-on engineering, technical design and performance optimisation.
Key Skills:
- Strong Google Cloud Platform experience
- BigQuery, including partitioning, clustering and performance tuning
- Dataflow, Dataproc and Pub/Sub
- Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow
- Python and PySpark
- SQL
- Cloud Storage
- Terraform
- Git and CI/CD
- Data quality, governance and security
The role is based in London with hybrid working, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
