Role Description
The Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Swansea. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- producing detailed schematics and layout drawings
- specifying components for power distribution and control systems
- collaborating with mechanical and controls engineers and supporting project managers with technical input
- ensuring designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
- assist with design reviews, support installation and commissioning activities, and provide technical documentation and guidance for maintenance and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Strong Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering skills
- Design Engineering experience, including creating detailed drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience with EPlan beneficial but not a requirement
- Solid understanding of Electricity principles and power systems, including Power Distribution for industrial environments.
- Experience working in manufacturing, automation, or materials handling projects is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret client requirements, troubleshoot design issues, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e. g., degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Design Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality.
