Role Description: A graduate or design engineer is required to offer continued support to the work of the Onshore teams based out of our Edinburgh Office. To maintain our in-house expertise, we are looking for a hands-on civil engineer who can collaborate effectively with fellow team members and support our project delivery works providing high quality technical input. It is expected that you will provide high quality technical support to projects and be working towards chartered status.
Key responsibilities will also include:
- Undertaking drainage, earthworks and infrastructure design using software packages such as AutoCAD 3D civils, info drainage.
- Technical Report Writing.
- Supporting senior engineers with production of:
- Design drawings,
- Design detailing,
- Specifications,
- Bills of quantity,
- Contract documents,
- CDM documentation.
- Site Supervision of civil and environmental engineering works including CQA.
- Supporting/leading on contractual management of construction contracts.
Expertise required:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work on own initiative;
- IT literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project;
- Experience of AutoCAD 3D civils and info drainage;
- Understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations;
- A full clean driver’s licence.
Education/ Qualifications:
- Hold a University Degree in civil engineering.
- The candidate should be working towards chartered status in a clearly defined timescale.
