GAUCHO is looking for an experienced and passionate HEAD Waiter to join our Gaucho GAUCHO Richmond!

The ideal Head Waitercandidate will be hardworking, have a positive attitude and work well within a team.

They will be a GAUCHO ambassador and be able to upsell all GAUCHO products with confidence.

Key Responsibilities of a GAUCHO Head Waiter

  • Maintaining skills and product knowledge as taught at the Gaucho Academy.
  • Full commitment to expanding knowledge of food and beverage on the menu
  • Attending any company training relevant to your role
  • Attending, participating in, and contributing to the brief and team meetings
  • Ensuring the stations are stocked before and during the shift and Assisting floor managers with checking pre-shift duty preparation and excellence of post-shift duty clean-up
  • Communicating any significant stock availability issues to the management and the team
  • Service of all drink and food orders according to the Cycle of Service standards
  • Promptly and accurately maintaining guest’s bill
  • Ensures beverage preparation is completed to standard to ensure recipe potential is achieved (cost of sales)
  • Ensuring perfect table maintenance and timings as per Cycle of Service
  • Checking guest satisfaction and communicating any issues with the manager
  • Accurate, discreet, and timely preparation, presentation, and processing of the bill
  • Offering and, if required, organising a collection of coats and bags as well as arranging a taxi for the guest
  • Knows and pro-actively works towards sales mix and cover targets for the business
  • Focusing completely on achievement of all Cycle of Service requirements
  • Communicating guests’ preferences to the reception team for recording on the Open Table reservations system
  • Work with the restaurant team to offer an unforgettable GAUCHO experience to all our guests through heightened hospitality.
  • Be the face of GAUCHO and demonstrate service excellence while following the GAUCHO steps of service and standards.
  • Strengthen and maintain product knowledge in order to host tables and guide guests with menu choices.
  • Support and assist the management team to maximise sales revenues by driving covers and average spend per head.
  • Ensure all guest orders are received and processed professionally and accurately.
  • Help maintain a clean and organised restaurant at all times and follow all set-up and breakdown procedures.
