GAUCHO are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our GAUCHO Birmingham restaurant. The successful candidate will be an experienced restaurant operator, being fully accountable for guest experience, finance, sales growth, legal compliance and team development. The General Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and Operations Director on projects and will take full ownership of them. They will be an ambassador for the brand, leading by example and driving the business.

Key Responsibilities of the GAUCHO General Manager:

  • Managing financials by plans to drive sales and beat budgets
  • Yearly budget planning and maximising covers whilst protecting the guest experience
  • Fully accountable for full team objectives and development planning
  • Effectively management of rotas, employee relation issues and recruitment
  • Practices an open-door policy with the team and makes time to ensure employee welfare
  • Drives the GAUCHO culture and manages both the team and senior members
  • Ensuring compliance throughout the business, with the team being fully trained to the correct level, and personally being trained to the correct level
  • 95% and above on food audits and shield health and safety
  • A focus on strong and consistent guest feedback and mystery diner results
  • Leading marketing initiatives
  • Collaborating with senior leaders and head office departments to deliver KPIs

Requirements for GAUCHO General Manager:

  • An in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry
  • Strong experience managing a successful restaurant and inspiring both management and hourly team members
  • WSET Level 2
  • Excellent communicator, and aspirational leader
  • Project management
