Key Responsibilities of the Commis Chef
- Basic understanding of the brand and the cookery.
- Service of food to assigned task standards.
- To ensure the mise en place is performed to the high standard required at all times.
- To sustain high presentation & correct positioning and cooking of food at all times with guidance from senior chefs.
- To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and up keep of equipment.
- To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefs.
- To contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit and an active interest in employee's welfare, safety and development.
- To help and maintain a maximum yield in the kitchen in relation to the gross profit and wastage
