We specialize in residential, commercial, agricultural, and municipal earthworks, including site preparation, grading, drainage, utility installation, demolition, septic installation and infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in excavation, estimating, and the RFQ/RFT process. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating field crews, overseeing schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager will work directly with the President, Vice President, General Manager, and Operations Manager, providing leadership, technical expertise, and clear communication across all levels of the company.
Responsibilities:- Manage multiple excavation and civil construction projects from planning to completion.
- Prepare estimates, review drawings, and participate in the RFQ/RFT process.
- Coordinate and schedule crews, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
- Communicate daily with leadership (President, VP, GM, Operations Manager).
- Resolve on‑site issues and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and change orders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and suppliers.
- Experience in excavation, civil construction, or heavy equipment operations.
- Strong background in estimating and the RFQ/RFT process.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, grades, and site layout.
- Ability to problem‑solve and make decisions in the field.
- Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with GPS/laser grading systems.
- Knowledge of municipal standards and permitting.
- Safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, etc.).
- Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
