Location: London Gatwick (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Compensation: Circa £75,000 + 5% Welcome Bonus + £4,750 Flex Allowance + up to 20% Bonus + Benefits

What will you do?

  • Preparing detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages, from initial concept to final construction, including internal costs.
  • Controlling project costs and preventing overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conducting accurate measurements, rate analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Regularly updating cost plans to reflect design changes and market conditions.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value.
  • Supporting the development of appropriate procurement strategies and running procurement exercises.
  • Administering contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management.
  • Accurately reporting on spend, anticipated final cost and forecasting future months' expenditures through to completion.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors, working on projects typically over £2 million.
  • Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field.
  • Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools (e.g. Cemar).
  • Thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts, and associated contract administration and negotiations.
