Are you a Senior IT Project Manager with expertise in delivering Business Services within a Waterfall Methodology, looking for a new opportunity? This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business. What is the role? The primary responsibility of this role is to plan and deliver IT software, infrastructure & system replacement projects and work streams, to time, budget and quality on behalf of the IT Department. This role relates to upgrades or replacements of business systems and is not related to experience in the Digital or InfrastructureCyber background fields. What will you do? Manage and deliver multiple projects within the direct portfolio and on behalf of other programmes, ensuring on time delivery, within budget, to agreed scope in line with the GAL Project Management Methodology and Governance ● Ownership to apply the appropriate project management disciplines, i.e. planning, resourcing, scheduling, monitoring, reporting and risk, issue and dependency management. ● The role has no direct reports; the role is responsible for the matrix management of IT project resources, IT suppliers and IT System integrators required. ● Manage projects budgets in the region of £500k to £10m ● Responsible for effective EHS management for all projects and work packages, including the requirements of CDM 2015, Gatwick permit to work (P2W) system and Asbestos Process, where applicable. Do you have what were looking for? ● University degree qualification in an IT related subject (Engineering, Information Systems, Science, Business or Commerce), or equivalent experience essential. ● Minimum of 5 years project management experience (or similar) ● PMP or Prince2 certification ● ITIL Software technology related certification is desirable ● Proven experience of managing large and complex IT projects – specifically Business Services ● Strong experience of matrix managing other project team members directly ● Solid experience in the relevant technology domain such as Software Development and Infrastructure Design ● Proven track record of delivery through all stages of the project lifecycle ● Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control methodologies ● Experience with business user, external client management, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
