This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.
What is the role?
Business Change Managers lead the planning and delivery of business transformation. Working with senior leaders, sponsors, and programme teams, BCMs translate, lead and shape strategic business requirements into executable projects, develop commercially astute business cases and track the benefits of key initiatives.
The role does not focus on organisational design/HR or IT system change. It is focused on driving strategic operational and digital change through innovative and sustainable approaches to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, capability, resilience and customer experience.
What will you do?
- Lead the identification, diagnosis and definition of complex business problems and opportunities, shaping change strategies that deliver material strategic, commercial and operational benefits.
- Define and validate business requirements, ensuring solutions consider the optimal combination of people, process, systems and infrastructure.
- Apply structured change and improvement frameworks (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma) to define problems, challenge assumptions, optimise solutions and maximise value for the business.
- Apply data-led analysis to test hypotheses, assess options and inform decision-making, ensuring change initiatives are evidence-based and deliver measurable value.
- Analyse business processes, identify barriers to change, and develop practical, scalable interventions that optimise cost performance and benefits realisation.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation (including Operations, Sustainability, Commercial and Finance) to align change activity and enable effective transition of change into business-as-usual operations.
Do you have what we're looking for?
- Degree in a Business-related field e.g. maths, finance, business, economics.
- Lean/Six Sigma qualification and practical deployment of Lean/Six Sigma skills.
- Programme Management training or Change Management Certifications desirable.
- Experience managing business change across large, complex organisations.
- Structured problem solving – ability to break down complex, ambiguous business challenges into clear, testable components using logic, evidence and structured analytical approaches.
- Data literacy and analytical skills. Ability to understand how change affects systems, processes, and performance.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen with the ability to build compelling business cases, think strategically to identify synergies.
- Experience in evaluating end-to-end capital and operating costs, revenue streams, productivity opportunities, customer service and regulatory impacts.
