Overview
A new contract opportunity has arisen for a WTG Transport & Installation Package Manager to join a major offshore wind development project currently in the late development phase. This role will play a critical part in the development, negotiation and management of transportation and installation contracts for Wind Turbine Generators.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience within a developer environment or project development phase
- Strong project management background within offshore wind, renewables, marine, or major infrastructure projects
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation, commercial management and stakeholder engagement
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage complex contractual arrangements
- Experience with:
- Transportation & Installation Agreements (TSA)
- BIMCO contract forms
- Vessel chartering and marine operations
- Offshore wind project development and execution
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of WTG transportation and installation activities
- Negotiate and manage key transportation and installation contracts
- Develop and maintain package budgets, schedules, risks and opportunities
- Manage interfaces with contractors, marine warranty surveyors, regulatory bodies and project stakeholders
- Support HSE excellence and regulatory compliance throughout the package
- Report package progress to the project leadership team
Ideal Background
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Marine Logistics, Renewable Energy or a related discipline
- Significant experience delivering offshore wind projects safely and successfully
- Demonstrable expertise in WTG transportation and installation
- Strong understanding of offshore construction contracts and vessel chartering arrangements
- Comprehensive knowledge of offshore HSE and CDM requirements
Additional Information
- 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
- Initial 12‑month contract
- Start: August / September
- Location based in the UK with flexibility around home or office working arrangements
- Regular UK and occasional international travel may be required
- Offshore visits and working at heights may be required
