We’re looking for a Technical Lead - Enterprise Services (Identity) to take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure spanning physical, virtual and cloud platforms and play a pivotal role in driving the move from traditional systems to a modern, cloud-first operating model. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, influence and deliver the future of a large-scale enterprise environment undergoing a major technology modernisation.
The Role
As the Technical Lead, you’ll lead the evolution of our infrastructure strategy, partnering with Architecture, Infosec and wider Technology teams to build a secure, resilient and agile platform. You’ll design long-term roadmaps, set governance and standards, and ensure the seamless transition to modern cloud technologies. This role blends strategic influence with hands‑on technical expertise. You’ll guide teams, lead transformation initiatives and step in to support BAU delivery when required, helping accelerate progress and embed best practice across the organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and delivering 3–5-year infrastructure roadmaps aligned to our transformation strategy.
- Leading cloud adoption and driving modern infrastructure principles across the business.
- Overseeing physical, virtual and cloud environments, including on‑prem data centres and Azure.
- Defining governance, standards and architectural principles for infrastructure platforms.
- Identifying risks, shaping technical direction and maintaining overall architectural integrity.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven leadership across IT infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Hands‑on expertise with modern infrastructure tooling, especially: IaC: Ansible, Terraform, GitLab One Identity tools: Safeguard, Active Roles.
- Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat), Microsoft enterprise technologies and networking/security (WAN/LAN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Load Balancing, ZTNA).
- Experience leading infrastructure transformation and modernisation programmes within Enterprise environments.
- Confident communicator with the ability to translate complex technology into actionable plans.
