We are supporting our client, an Offshore wind Developer to recruit for an Onshore Logistics Manager to support offshore wind construction operations based at the Port of Lowestoft. This position plays a key role in coordinating logistics, personnel movements, and materials tracking within a busy offshore construction base. Reporting daily to the Senior Offshore Site Manager, the successful candidate will ensure efficient coordination between port operations, vessels and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and operational support at the offshore construction base
- Act as liaison with port authorities for site maintenance and services
- Manage the procurement, receipt, and tracking of goods and services
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes using QR code tracking systems
- Coordinate vessel port calls, including:
- Plant and equipment bookings
- Movement of equipment between storage and quayside
- Align logistics movements with vessel schedules and helicopter operations
- Support helicopter transfers, including travel arrangements and personnel logistics
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across storage and operational areas
- Assist with general administrative tasks for site leadership teams
- Deliver davit crane operator training (training provided)
- Conduct LOLER and PPE inspections and recertifications
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with databases or tracking systems is advantageous
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Experience within a UK port, offshore wind, or marine logistics environment
- Knowledge of UK maritime and port procedures (including ISPS Code awareness)
