An innovative engineering and technology organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of construction and estates projects within a highly specialised environment.

Working as part of an integrated delivery team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from building refurbishments to complex new-build developments. These projects support critical infrastructure and advanced testing facilities.

You’ll run complex construction projects at a high-tech defence site, making sure they’re delivered safely, on time, and within budget while managing multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-value and complex construction projects (circa £5m annually)
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, budgeting, and execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
  • Monitor project performance, costs, and forecasts, ensuring delivery within budget
  • Prepare and manage project documentation including proposals and reports
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and security standards
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience delivering construction or refurbishment projects
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders or clients simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, infrastructure, and building works
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and frameworks (e.g. building regulations, CDM)
  • Familiarity with industry-standard contracts (e.g. NEC, JCT, RIBA stages)
Qualifications
  • Professional project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM)
  • Demonstrable experience operating at a senior project management level
