Job Description
Job descriptionOur client, a prominent engineering and maintenance provider, is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to join their dynamic team. This opportunity is available in multiple locations, including Warrington, Middlesbrough, Aberdeen, and Grangemouth. The role promises involvement in diverse projects within the Automation and Energy sectors.Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Lead EC&I Engineer and producing EC&I designs for single or multi-discipline engineering projects.
- Managing projects within the UK and potentially across Europe and other business areas.
- Handling projects ranging from concept to commissioning in greenfield and brownfield applications.
- Delivering EC&I Engineering and Design as specified in the Project Scope.
- Supporting the Lead Engineer in delivering the EC&I design within budget and planning, including change control and design consistency.
- Ensuring the quality of the EC&I design and participating in internal and external design reviews.
- Coordinating EC&I engineering with other disciplines such as Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Process, and Automation.
- Possibly leading EC&I aspects of one or multiple projects depending on the size and complexity.
- Involvement in post-design activities including construction, testing, and commissioning.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in EC&I engineering, particularly within an Engineering/EPCM/EPC company.
- Proficient in EC&I engineering and design, with knowledge of other disciplines like Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Process.
- Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines and capable of leading designs for both.
- Familiar with tools such as AMTECH, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Packages.
- MEng/MSc/BSc/BEng in EC&I Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Understanding of current British and International Standards.
- Holding SC Clearance is preferable.
- Result-oriented with a commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
- Effective planning and organisational skills and a 'one time right' mentality.
