Marine Electrical Fitters Wanted – BAE Systems (Portsmouth)

Join a nationally significant defence project with BAE Systems, supporting the build and maintenance of advanced naval vessels for the Royal Navy. Based in Portsmouth, this is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Electrical Fitters to contribute to a prestigious programme in a secure, long-term role.

Location: Portsmouth

Contract Duration: TBC

Employment Type: PAYE (Inside IR35)

Position: Electrical Fitter

Standard shift: Early shift, Backshift

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and test electrical systems on naval vessels
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Perform cable pulling, terminations, and general marine electrical tasks
  • Ensure all work meets MOD standards and strict H&S compliance

Qualifications:

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Experience in Marine, Industrial, Shipbuilding, Oil & Gas Offshore
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
