We’re looking for a senior leader to take ownership of how our client’s organisation connects commercial promises with operational delivery. This role is all about making sure what they bid, cost and schedule is realistic, controlled and aligned with how the work actually gets done. You’ll be shaping how major programmes operate, using reliable data, clear processes and joined‑up communication to keep performance on‑track for customers such as the UK MoD and the National Police Air Service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Bringing Commercial & Operational Work Together
    • Build practical connections between commercial KPIs and day‑to‑day operational activity.
    • Improve how they set targets, track progress and visually manage performance across teams.
    • Keep programme cost baselines accurate and up to date to ensure multi‑million‑pound projects stay aligned with contract expectations.
    • Ensure all teams work from a single, trusted set of data and reporting tools.
  • Digital Systems, Data & Process Improvement
    • Act as the functional owner for core systems including Envision and airworthiness platforms.
    • Shape and maintain the business’s data architecture, ensuring reliability, security and long‑term stability.
    • Lead a team of analysts and developers to convert complex data into meaningful insights and automated dashboards.
    • Review and refine business processes to create a more agile, efficient and competitive organisation.
  • Driving Transformation Across the Organisation
    • Define the medium‑ and long‑term transformation agenda and lead its delivery across multiple departments.
    • Oversee the governance of the full transformation programme, managing risks and reporting progress to the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Collaborate with Finance to track benefits, manage investment and ensure transformation activity delivers a clear return.
    • Champion continuous improvement and modern ways of working, encouraging cross‑functional collaboration.
    • Lead and develop a team of BI and application specialists.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience leading complex change programmes.
  • Background in operational transformation within manufacturing or MRO environments.
  • Solid knowledge of data architecture, system integration and technical governance.
  • Confidence translating business needs into clear technical plans.
  • Expertise with MRO/ERP systems such as Envision, plus BI platforms (Looker, Oracle APEX).
  • Strong SQL/PLSQL capability and understanding of data modelling.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in aviation maintenance or airworthiness environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Additional Requirements:

  • Eligibility for DBS and Security Clearance.
  • Candidates must meet export compliance rules and have the legal right to work in the UK.
