Our client, a leading civil engineering and infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee major water and civil engineering projects across the North West.

This is a permanent position responsible for commercial performance, programme delivery, operational resources, health and safety, quality and customer relationships across multiple sites.

Lead the planning, programming and successful delivery of civil engineering and water projects, ensuring schemes progress without unnecessary delays.

Monitor project costs, resources, forecasts, margins and commercial performance, including monthly cost value reconciliations and end-of-life forecasts.

Manage procurement, subcontractor engagement, contract administration, cost plans, risks, opportunities and commercial reporting.

Oversee tender handovers, pre-start meetings, project reviews, progress meetings and accurate records of actions and decisions.

Ensure temporary and permanent design activities are appropriately managed, resourced and delivered in line with project requirements.

Provide strong leadership across operational teams, including workforce allocation, recruitment, reporting lines, training and progression.

Promote high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and quality, ensuring alignment with legal, client and internal requirements.

Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, communities and other stakeholders while minimising the impact of works.

Extensive experience managing projects within a civil engineering or water environment.

Strong knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme management, risk management and cost control.

Experience with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 Experience supporting pre-qualification and tendering processes for multidisciplinary projects.

SMSTS and CSCS certification.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
