Day Rate: £650 per day (Outside IR35) – 8 hours per day

Location: Hybrid – Work from London or associated offices

Overview

We are looking to secure a Project Risk Manager to support multiple UK Offshore Wind Farm developments. The successful candidate will provide end to end project risk leadership across bid, design, manufacturing and construction phases. This is a critical role ensuring proactive risk identification, mitigation, and reporting at senior project and steering committee level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Risk Management activities across multiple offshore wind development and construction projects.
  • Drive identification, assessment, mitigation and escalation of project risks to senior stakeholders including the Project SteerCo and Finance Director.
  • Own all Risk & Opportunity topics across the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all risk management processes align with internal governance, procedures and best practice.
  • Provide Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) outputs for monthly reporting, contingency assessments and business case assurance.
  • Run Project Risk Workshops, Stress Testing and scenario-based analysis sessions.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis, pre-mortems, and “what‑if” modelling.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date risk registers in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Communicate QRA results and contingency recommendations clearly to senior leadership.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of Offshore Wind Development and Construction.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Project Risk Management methodologies.
  • Proficient in QRA, SRA, and tools such as Safran and Active Risk Manager (ARM).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering risk management across major civil or offshore construction projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Experience conducting Schedule Risk Analysis, Stress Testing and QRA.
  • Confident in producing and presenting risk information to Board-level stakeholders, Project Directors and senior management teams.
  • Ability to update project and package risk values to align with monthly reporting cycles.
