We're supporting an engineering organisation that is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, testing and delivery of new products and technologies.

This is not a maintenance or support position.

It's a development-focused engineering role where you'll work on technically challenging projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute directly to the advancement of new technologies.

The role is predominantly office-based, working closely with engineers and project stakeholders on design, development and technical problem-solving activities.

There will be occasional workshop involvement to support testing, validation and prototype development, but the majority of your time will be spent driving engineering projects forward from the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to electrical engineering design and development activities.
  • Support the development of new products and technologies from concept through to implementation.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical and commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support testing, validation and troubleshooting activities where required.
  • Develop practical and commercially viable solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Assist in taking innovative concepts from development into real-world application.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5-6 years' engineering experience.
  • Strong electrical engineering background.
  • Experience within product development, R&D, systems engineering or technology development environments.
  • Ability to work across multiple technologies and engineering disciplines.
  • Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving engineering environment.
  • Industrial automation and control systems.
  • Power generation or power electronics.
  • Advanced manufacturing or special-purpose machinery.
