We are supporting a leading renewable energy organisation in the search for a Senior HSE Advisor to join a major offshore wind project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving health, safety and environmental excellence on a high profile project within the UK.
As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will provide expert guidance across both onshore and offshore operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards while driving a proactive HSE culture. You will also support and guide a team of HSE Advisors, working closely with project leadership to ensure best practice is embedded across all activities.
- Promote and lead a proactive HSE culture across project teams
- Provide expert advice on HSE legislation, standards, and best practice
- Review and approve Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
- Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, audits, and inspections
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Monitor HSE performance and identify trends using reporting systems
- Engage with contractors and stakeholders to improve safety performance
Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE, ideally within offshore wind or renewables construction.
Proven experience operating at Senior HSE Advisor level.
NEBOSH Level 3 (or equivalent) is essential.
Strong knowledge of incident investigation and risk management.
Experience working closely with contractors and site teams.
Full UK driving licence.
Degree or diploma (Level 6) in HSE or related discipline.
Offshore certifications (GWO, HUET, offshore medical).
Experience within large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
Working Environment:
- Primarily based on site in Humberside, with regular offshore visits
- Occasional travel for meetings, including potential international travel
- Collaborative, fast-paced project environment
