This role plays a vital part in ensuring operational effectiveness, directly contributing to systems that protect lives and support national security.
The Role
As a Combat Systems Engineer, you will be involved across the full lifecycle of complex defence systems, from development through to integration, testing, and acceptance. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will support the delivery of a high-profile naval programme, contributing to:
- Systems integration and verification activities
- Test planning, execution, and reporting
- Supporting customer requirements and capability delivery
- Producing technical evidence and documentation
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in sea trials aboard Royal Navy ves sels, including potential international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver systems engineering activities across complex projects
- Develop and execute test and integration plans
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Produce and review technical documentation
- Report progress to project leads and customers
- Support trials and evaluation in real-world environments.
