Job Context
As Director of Finance and Procurement, you will oversee the corporate management of key services, ensuring strategic policy direction, operational management, and financial control. You will work closely with the Leadership Team to drive the team’s vision, enhance community impact, and foster partnerships.
Job Purpose
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive and Corporate Directors to achieve priorities.
- Lead service performance by managing senior leadership, allocating resources, and mitigating risks.
- Foster an innovative and commercially driven approach within your service areas.
- Drive continuous service improvement and transformation using data-driven insights.
- Jointly manage the budget and savings strategy while ensuring strong financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop internal and external relationships to maximize collaboration and integration opportunities.
- Align service planning with the key strategic initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to the Corporate Leadership Team and elected Members on complex policy decisions.

Key Experience:

- Experience working within a unitary council or upper tier authorities.
