We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Data Warehouse Analyst to join a Digital Technology team responsible for delivering, supporting, and enhancing enterprise application solutions across a complex business environment.
This role is focused on the development, support, and continuous improvement of SAP Business Warehouse (BW) solutions, ensuring business-critical data and reporting systems remain reliable, secure, and effective.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis through to development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
The position requires strong expertise in SAP BW, data warehousing, data management, database design, and performance troubleshooting, alongside the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and functional teams to deliver technology solutions that meet business requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure systems and enhancements are delivered effectively and within agreed timescales.
- Provide support for incidents, service requests, system enhancements, and new application implementations.
- Maintain the availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise systems and reporting solutions.
- Deliver application support within agreed service levels, including issue resolution and preventative maintenance activities.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of business information and systems.
- Conduct business analysis and requirements gathering activities.
- Perform systems analysis, development, testing, and implementation.
- Design and analyse data structures and data warehouse solutions.
- Support user training, issue resolution, and post-implementation activities.
- Produce and maintain technical and user documentation.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve application and data-related issues.
- Design, develop, test, implement, document, and support application enhancements and system interfaces.
- Monitor service management and change control systems for incoming work requests.
- Maintain configuration and change management records.
- Work with third-party vendors and technical partners to deliver requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in occasional travel as required for project or business needs.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong SAP Business Warehouse (BW) experience.
- Experience with SAP Net Weaver.
- Experience working with BW Dataflows (3. x and 7. x).
- Knowledge of SAP Business Explorer (BEx) tools, including Query Designer and Web Analyzer.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Experience using formal systems development and delivery methodologies.
- Broad understanding of IT technologies and enterprise application environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing business-critical applications within a large organisation.
- Experience with SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood (formerly CPS Job Scheduler).
