About the Role
This position will support a range of
Onshore Wind, Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects throughout the environmental assessment, design, and construction phases.
Working in an
Owner's Engineer / Technical Advisor capacity, you will provide design review, construction oversight, and project support services across renewable energy developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction & Site Supervision
- Carry out construction phase inspections, including foundation pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
- Support project administration activities, including client meetings, progress reporting, and technical query management.
- Review Balance of Plant (Bo P) civil infrastructure designs, including:
- Access tracks
- Hardstands
- Foundations
- Control buildings
- Associated civil infrastructure
β’ Contribute to Health & Safety management through the review of
- RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
- Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP)
- Traffic Management Plans (TMP)
- Manage project quality assurance and document control activities across multiple construction projects.
- Support Project Managers with contract administration, payment assessments, and variation management.
- Design & Project Delivery Support
- Develop 2D and 3D renewable energy layouts using industry-standard design software.

- Support preparation of proposals, bids, and tender submissions for renewable energy developments.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in the design and construction of renewable energy projects.
- Basic knowledge of GIS, Infra Works and Auto CAD.
- Site-based construction experience.

- Health & Safety requirements
- Civil construction methodologies
- Reinforcement detailing and checking
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including extended periods on site.
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
- SMSTS certification.
- NEC4 Supervision accreditation.
