Work Pattern: Days: 07:30–16:00 | Nights: 16:00–02:00

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK, adhere to ITAR restrictions, and be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance (BPSS).

About the Role

BAE Systems are seeking a dedicated Associate Mechanical Operator to support maintenance and remediation activities on military aircraft at RAF Marham. You’ll be part of a close‑knit, multi‑skilled team carrying out metalwork, repairs and compliance‑driven tasks in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out metalworking and corrosion‑remediation activities on aircraft
  • Prepare metal and composite structures for repair
  • Drill and ream aircraft panels and structural components
  • Apply adhesive bonding methods
  • Remove and install a range of aircraft fasteners
  • Follow approved maintenance data and AMC documentation
  • Work effectively within a multi‑disciplined team to deliver required maintenance tasks

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Experience working with metal and composite structures
  • Ability to interpret and follow maintenance instructions
  • Competent in drilling, reaming and fastener installation
  • Understanding of adhesive bonding techniques
  • Awareness of human factors and error management in maintenance
  • Ability to work in accordance with MOE procedures and quality systems
