The Kingsway School seeks a committed and compassionate Learning Support and Intervention Assistant (LSIA) to join its Inclusion and Diversity (SEND) Department. The role supports high-quality teaching and learning for students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs. You will deliver small-group and individual support, contribute to assessment and review processes, and work closely with teachers, families and the wider SEND team to remove barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted early maths support to students with additional needs.
- Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions within mainstream lessons.
- Participate in assessment and review processes and contribute to students’ progress reports.
- Collaborate with teachers, families and the SEND team, attending regular meetings to plan, review and refine support.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, outcomes and attendance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience, expertise or a strong interest in developing early maths skills.
- Patient, proactive, ambitious for young people with strong communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and a good standard of spoken English (as per Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016).
