We are currently recruiting for a Head of Coffee to work with us across our wonderful workplace brands. This position is hybrid, good access to London is required. Location: Flexible- good access to London is required Rate of pay: £55,000 – £70,000 per annum + amazing benefits & bonus Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday Role Brief: Member of G&G SLT accountable for the commercial growth and success of coffee culture within G&G’s proposition. The role is responsible for: • Creating and leading the coffee strategy for Gather and Gather’s national business • Direct management of coffee coaches, their growth, performance and workflow • Working in partnership with Sales, marketing and culinary teams to build and deliver our beverage strategy for brand and commercial growth • Building the brand relationship with the coffee and drinks industry in a sustainable way Key Responsibilities: • Manage the coffee coaches and relief team to ensure full commercial payback and coverage with continuous improvements happening at each location • Work with procurement to ensure coffee ingredients and machinery are best in class to support our product delivery and development at the right commercial price points • Work with Sales to build drinks propositions that can be brought to life in sales sessions and presentations • Lead Beverage thought leadership to drive innovation and coffee culture through their coffee network of growers, roasters and machine builders • Lead and build our coffee skills across our teams through our coffee coaches and on-site barista’s through an annual programme culminating into our competition approaches both internally and externally • Manage and develop the G&G coffee academy for all coffee teams and those clients keen to be engaged in our proposition • Develop brand alliances that build commercial and social success for our business Knowledge • Understanding the coffee world it’s impact on the global economies and markets • Experience with growers and roasters with hands on knowledge of the end-to-end journey • Recognition of the coffee waves and approaches for global palates (Melbourne v’s Portland) • Coffee technology and the equipment market • Coffee making science and the drink experience Passion • Able to convince of the value and history of the drink that it’s worth the time, love, and nurture • Ability to lead a coffee culture through positive change and impact on skill sets, supplier network and in industry coffee mentors • The self-awareness and influencer skills to present and seduce our customer centric and market leading coffee proposition at a point of strategic sale • Is the forefront and builds a coffee culture through content and social for our marketing teams aligned to our brand • Coaches barista service culture and hones the coffee disciples to a service art form Commerciality • Can create commercial coffee experiences that reduce risk and create incremental sales in and out of the cup • Coaches a commercial coffee culture through production and conversation service • Connects supply chain with the best-in-class industry to lead the market at the right price • Builds a robust barista framework so coffee quality never dips even on a low staff day What’s in it for you?
