Overview
The Chef Manager will plan, organise and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the company\'s reputation for quality is enhanced with customers and clients at all times. Adopt a hands on approach taking responsibility for the food production covering all employee dining along with an extensive range of pop ups. Possess an exceptional drive for quality and innovation. Responsible for all aspects of food safety, Health & Safety and COSHH. The Chef Manager will be required to implement and maintain food monitoring procedures to facilitate budgetary control and to monitor all costs involved in the kitchen against agreed budgets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage food production for employee dining and pop-up events, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Plan, organise and direct preparation and cooking activities to uphold the company’s reputation for quality.
- Adopt a hands-on approach to food production and operate in a fast-paced corporate catering environment.
- Implement and maintain food safety, Health & Safety and COSHH procedures; monitor costs and budget adherence in the kitchen.
- Demonstrate a track record of catering for large numbers while ensuring meals feel individually prepared for each customer.
- Recruit, develop, train and inspire a small team; possess strong people skills and leadership ability.
- Maintain a real passion for food and customer service, with strong engagement with customers.
- Drive food innovation and development; stay up-to-date with current food trends.
- Communicate effectively at all levels; demonstrate superb culinary skills and a good financial understanding.
