Job Description
MASSAGE TUTOR – Are you an experienced massage tutor looking for a new challenge? We have a massage tutor vacancy to join our team in Manchester.
Responsibilities
- Train small groups of students in the various therapies we offer.
- Hold teaching sessions for groups of up to 6 massage students.
- Maintain a full understanding of the accredited massage courses that Gateway offers.
- Deliver Gateway accredited courses through high‑quality teaching materials in our full range of beauty therapy courses.
- Work to specific lesson plans efficiently, ensuring students grasp training content.
- Communicate with students in a timely and effective manner using the relevant templates.
- Adapt training techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
- Apply appropriate and fair methods of assessment, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Prepare the room in advance of training and maintain professional readiness.
- Keep accurate records and complete students’ registration documents at the start of each session.
Qualifications
- 5 years of therapy experience for each therapy you wish to teach.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience working for a college or in‑house training.
- A teacher‑training qualification (AET or equivalent, or willingness to take our AET online course).
- Love for massage and passion for teaching students new skills and qualifications.
