GATEWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR: CLASSIFIED VACANCY: Clerk Typist I/Paraprofessional I

  • River Ridge Elementary School (8.00 hrs/day) Shift Schedule: 7:30 a. m. to 4 p. m. (1/2 hour unpaid lunch break) SALARY: $19.64 - $26.40 per/hr
  • Range D Clerk Typist I (4.00 hrs/day) $18.78 - $25.26 per/hr
  • Range A Paraprofessional I (4.00 hrs/day) (Includes vacation factor) 182 workdays (14 District paid holidays) Includes contribution to a retirement system and access to health, dental, and vision benefits with District contribution.

REQUIREMENTS: * Applicant must meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. * Applicant must possess an AA Degree (or) have 48 semester units of college coursework (or) have passed the Paraprofessional Exam to qualify. **Proof of meeting these requirements must be attached to application.

  • Pass the General Clerical Exam at the 50th percentile or above. (Exam is administered by the District).
  • Type 45 net words per minute on a 5-minute timed writing. (No on-line certificates accepted.

Typing certificate must be submitted with application and may not be over one year old).
