As a community housing association based in the East End for nearly 100 years, we're proud of the work we do to address the housing crisis through building and managing great homes. We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner - Business Services to partner effectively with our business services departments ensuring high quality financial data and advice to enable delivery of our strategic plans. The post holder will ensure completion and timely submission of statutory returns including VAT and manages the monthly payroll delivery.

Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Prime contact for business services departments for all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting while monitoring in year spend
  • Prepares allocated sections of management accounts working closely with all business services departments
  • Lead and manage our Accounts Payable function effectively across the entire purchase-to-pay process
  • Prepare allocated sections of annual report and financial accounts including debtors, creditors, operating lease commitments and payroll
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns ensuring maximization of VAT recoveries
  • Manages the monthly payroll delivery

Experience and Skills

  • Strong digital skills including Excel and specialist finance systems
  • UK GAAP, FRS102 and Housing SORP and relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements in social housing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CCAB qualified accountant
  • Accounts payable, financial planning, reporting and analysis experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
