We are looking for an experienced Caretaker to provide a high standard of estate cleaning and caretaking services across Gateway Housing Association estates, ensuring communal areas, gardens, and buildings are safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents.
The post holder will act as a visible presence on estates, supporting resident satisfaction, health and safety, and community wellbeing.
Your duties will include but not be limited to: Clean and maintain communal areas, bin stores, car parks, gardens, and landscaped areas Liaise with residents, customer services, and local authority teams regarding environmental standards Ensure communal lighting, locks, and security systems are operational and defects reported promptly.
Report anti-social behaviour, vandalism, abandoned properties, and stray animals Take practical steps to address hazards and escalate appropriately Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to the appropriate teams Experience and Skills Experience in a caretaking role, preferably in a residential or estate setting.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
