Excellent opportunity at our client based on the English/Welsh borders for a Sous Chef to work in their busy Country Hotel. The property serves all fresh food to rosette level each service to restaurant and bar customers as well as private functions and weddings.

The Head Chef is looking for a talented Sous Chef with a calm personality who can assist in leading the team during a busy service. Staff accommodation can be provided but is off site, so you will need your own transport.

The Role

  • Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be assisted by junior chefs
  • Working in the Rosette standard kitchen using fresh and seasonal ingredients
  • Preparing and plating meals for restaurant/bar and functions
  • 5 day week

The Person

  • You will already be a Sous Chef
  • Able to work unsupervised and have strong management skills
  • Have experience of working in a busy hotel, pub or restaurant
  • Good attention to detail
