A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our client based in Oxford for a Sous Chef to work in the kitchen of their busy pub & restaurant. This is a key role in the kitchen as you will support the Head Chef in preparing meals for lunch and dinner service. The pub is a destination venue and is popular all year round.

The Role

  • Working in the award-winning kitchen using fresh, local & seasonal produce to cook for service
  • Encouraging and managing the Junior Chefs
  • Preparing meals using fresh ingredients on a daily basis. All dishes made on site daily
  • Kitchen Management duties - supporting Head Chef

The Person

  • You will already be a Sous Chef or a strong CDP or Junior Sous Chef looking for promotion.
  • Able to work unsupervised and have strong management skills
  • Experience of working in fresh food kitchens ideally to AA rosette level or higher
  • Highly motivated and focused.
