Trainee Block Manager (Property Management)
As we continue to grow, we are searching for enthusiastic and motivated individuals ready to start a rewarding career with us as a Trainee Block Manager at our office in Rochford, a 10-minute walk from mainline station.
The Person
You will be a people person aligned to the Gateway brand. You will be a great communicator with a track record of delivering the best client and customer experience possible. Promoting the brand and creating new opportunities will come as second nature to you.
The Job
Working alongside highly experienced property management professionals, your role will include:
- Proactively managing a diverse portfolio of apartment blocks
- Assisting with the preparation of Service Charge information and accounts
- Supporting budget preparation and ongoing budget management
- Handling maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Liaising with customers and clients to ensure high service standards
- Building strong client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
- Using active listening and negotiation skills to resolve issues
- Demonstrating ambition, resilience, and analytical thinking.
- Receiving full training and support to achieve TPI qualification (if not already held)
- Promoting the Gateway brand and helping to create new opportunities
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are motivated and ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in block management
- Is highly organised, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Has strong interpersonal skills and enjoys building relationships with clients and customers
- Demonstrates exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Showcases a proactive and solution-oriented approach to handling complex property matters
- Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Has the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
What You Need
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the property industry and/or in a customer service role
Job location: Rochford, Essex
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive withan annual review
Annual leave: 23 days plus bank holidays
