Vehicle Fitter Mechanics

GS Plus Ltd are now looking to recruit 2 Vehicle Fitter Mechanics . The Company provide fleet maintenance for Royal Borough of Greenwich and conduct service repairs and MOTs on a large fleet of vehicles, ranging from cars to HGV/PSV and items of plant. We have a large modern well equipped heated workshop, with DVSA MOT Testing Stations for all classes of vehicles, plus ADAS and 4-wheel Alignment Centre. Annual Salary: £50,578.00 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday Friday shifts between 7.30am -6pm overtime available Location: Birchmere Depot, Thamesmead, London SE28 8BF In addition, you can receive a Call out Payment of £200 per week should you wish to be included on a schedule rota system. (this is optional) Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be expected to undertake a full range of tasks and activities related to the service, repair and general maintenance of the fleet of vehicles to an appropriate standard. K nowledge of all aspects of a mixed fleet and experience of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within and outside the company is essential. Essential Requirements: You must be an experienced HGV/PSV Vehicle Technician/Fitter with experience of a mixed vehicle fleet (e.g., refuse vehicles, cars and car derived vans) City and Guilds / IMI qualification or equivalent experience minimum 3 years. Applicants must hold a full clean UK/EU driving licence, and have been driving for at least one year, also HGV/PSV Licence. Hold and own comprehensive tool kit. Must be Self Motivated and have awareness of working to a contract: – time limits, costs and client requests.
