Are you a sales or customer service professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, spotting opportunities and seeing an enquiry through from initial conversation to successful delivery?
Gateway Electronic Components, part of the Solid State plc Group, is looking for an Internal Sales Representative to join our team in Nantwich. This role is primarily site based, with occasional travel to other UK locations.
This is a varied commercial role where you’ll manage and develop existing customer accounts, respond to new enquiries, prepare quotations and support the wider sales team in identifying opportunities for growth.
What you will be doing
- Managing customer enquiries and acting as a key point of contact
- Preparing competitive and commercially viable quotations
- Processing sales orders and supporting customers through to delivery
- Building strong relationships with customers across assigned accounts
- Proactively following up quotations, leads and sales opportunities
- Identifying opportunities to grow business within existing accounts
- Working with colleagues to identify the right technical and commercial solutions for customers
- Liaising with Sales, Logistics, Finance and other teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
- Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity information within CRM systems
- Attending supplier training to develop your product and technical knowledge
What we are looking for
You will need previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role, together with strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills. You should be comfortable working proactively, managing several priorities and following up opportunities rather than simply responding to incoming enquiries.
Experience within electronics, components or another technical product environment would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential. We’re equally interested in candidates with strong transferable sales experience and the willingness to develop their technical knowledge.
