Alongside this, our Newburn facility specialises in producing punnets for fresh food applications, offering tailored packaging solutions to our customers. As a Shift Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality and food safety standards at every stage of production. You'll be a key point of contact on the shop floor, supporting production teams, maintaining compliance, and driving improvements across quality and safety processes. Shift Pattern to be discussed at the interview.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for quality matters within production
- Carrying out quality inspections, audits, and process checks across all stages of manufacturing
- Analysing production samples against approved standards
- Supporting the containment and investigation of non-conforming products
- Conducting GMP, Glass & Brittle, and internal audits in line with BRCGS and ISO standards
- Supporting root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Maintaining accurate quality records and reporting
- Promoting best practice in quality, hygiene, and food safety culture throughout the site
What We're Looking For:
- Previous quality control experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience in internal and/or external auditing (essential)
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support teams
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence
