The PCN Manager will oversee the day-to-day operational running of Gateshead Inner West (GIW) PCN, ensuring high quality delivery of all PCN DES services. They will work alongside the Clinical Director and existing corporate team to deliver the PCN's agenda. The post holder will need to be enthusiastic and be able to flex to the rapid changes that primary care is frequently exposed to.
Managing the ARRS team will form a large part of this job, with operational planning, HR oversight and recruitment. The role includes working closely with the clinical director and accountancy service to maintain financial oversight, including budgets, claims and contracts. Good working knowledge of CQC requirements is essential to this role.
It is essential that the PCN has good communication and relationships with the other stakeholders in the area, such as the ICB, local authority, other local PCNs and third sector organisations to allow collaborative working across the local area. The PCN manager will play an important role in continuing existing links and helping foster new ones.
