We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the Discharge Lounge, Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The Discharge Lounge is a 5 day week Service operating between 8-8. Our aim is to provide a Comfortable, safe and efficient environment for our patients transferring from Hospital to home.

The Lounge provides support to ward areas, patient flow and to the patients within the lounge until they are discharged safely home.

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual who\’s priority is to deliver high quality patient care and service throughout the Discharge Process.

The successful post holder will be friendly, enthusiastic and adaptable, and be able to demonstrate flexibility to meet these service demands, as well as having the creativity to be able to develop the service. This is a highly physical role and involves a lot of walking.

Main duties of the job

Collecting patients from ward areas and transporting them into the Lounge. Providing basic nursing care whilst in the lounge.
