To provide a high-quality administration service to the Pre-assessment department. To serve and support all patients attending for an appointment, providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the pre-assessment nurses with day-to-day tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the service.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide prompt, efficient reception service to patients, visitors and staff.
- Ensure effective communication and information flows both internally and externally.
- Ensure all information and patient's notes are available to the nurses for clinic.
- Arrange interpretation services for any relevant appointments.
- Gather information for team members from other teams and agencies as required.
- Contribute to delivering a high quality, efficient and effective service by complying with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Attend and book patient's appointments for their clinic attendance within pre-assessment.
- Ensure clinic outcomes are recorded correctly within Careflow.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Open clinics as requested by senior pre-assessment team.
Person Specification:
- 2 GCSE's grade A-C (maths and English) or equivalent NVQ.
- Experience of working within an administrative role.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
- Experience of working within the NHS or Healthcare environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
