The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are looking for a friendly individual with initiative and a positive approach to work as part of a team based within the Endoscopy department, QEH.

Main duties of the job

You will ensure provision of an effective and efficient administration office and reception, which will include working various shifts. There will be a need to actively monitor Endoscopy waiting list and ICE orders using the relevant I.T software systems to enable timely booking of procedures.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and have working knowledge of Microsoft Window package and possess good interpersonal and organisational skills, be a team player and work individually using initiative. A flexible approach to work within the core hours of the service: Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday/Sundays is essential to meet service needs.

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft package
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Ability to adapt to developing service needs
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Previous admin experience in healthcare setting
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Previous experience of maintaining a comprehensive filing system
  • Friendly, Enthusiastic, Hard working, Flexible, Motivated, Patient, Reliable, Calm, Proactive, and Team player
  • A flexible approach to working arrangements to meet service requirements. For example cover for staff sickness
  • Working Knowledge of Careflow
  • Working Knowledge of Endoscopy Scheduler
  • NVQ Business and Administration Level 2
