About the role
Are you looking for the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives? Are you patient, caring and able to adjust to situations quickly? If so, we’re currently recruiting a Special Needs Support Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years & KS1 team from 1st September 2026. The role will primarily be 1:1 support for children with additional needs. The part‑time role is every afternoon from 12:30–3:15 pm. There could also be opportunities for casual overtime on a morning.
We are looking for:
- An experienced and nurturing Teaching Assistant with a commitment to ensuring our children’s health and well‑being are promoted and developed alongside their learning.
- A reflective practitioner, constantly looking to improve their practice.
- A knowledgeable person who has a good understanding of child development in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
- Someone that goes above and beyond for the children in their care as well as the people they work alongside.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working in partnership with parents and the community.
