Strong leadership for stronger housing outcomes. Our statutory homelessness service, including the Housing Solutions Team, has several homeless pathways such as Homeless Prevention Pathways for Offenders, Mental Health and Hospital Discharge, Migration, Rough Sleepers and Domestic Abuse Pathways. We also manage temporary homeless accommodation in Gateshead and work with external agencies to provide accommodation and support to people. We are looking to develop our service offer and are looking for dynamic people to help us to do this.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent
- Knowledge of homelessness legislation
- Awareness of current housing and social care issues
- Relevant experience in homelessness or a related field
- Experience managing and supervising teams
- Effective partnership working skills
- Experience in data input and Microsoft packages
- Experience in chairing meetings
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to deal with people face to face in potentially difficult situations
