About the Role

We are looking for individuals who are hard working and work well as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will have a passion about improving the local environment for both residents and visitors to Gateshead.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Remove fly tipping throughout the Borough
  • Assist in clean up operations carried out Borough-wide
  • Assist in the maintenance of Parks and other Council owned structures
  • Respond to urgent removals of waste that may be blocking highways
  • Use technology, operate and receive jobs through mobile devices
  • Deliver excellent customer service and work as part of a team
  • Be flexible and follow instructions from Technical Supervisor and Manager
  • Follow Health & Safety guidelines, generic risk assessments and carry out dynamic risk assessments where required
  • Work in other areas of the service as and when required
  • Other suitable responsibilities as allocated appropriate to the grade of the post
