About the Role
We are looking for individuals who are hard working and work well as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will have a passion about improving the local environment for both residents and visitors to Gateshead.
What You'll Get To Do
- Remove fly tipping throughout the Borough
- Assist in clean up operations carried out Borough-wide
- Assist in the maintenance of Parks and other Council owned structures
- Respond to urgent removals of waste that may be blocking highways
- Use technology, operate and receive jobs through mobile devices
- Deliver excellent customer service and work as part of a team
- Be flexible and follow instructions from Technical Supervisor and Manager
- Follow Health & Safety guidelines, generic risk assessments and carry out dynamic risk assessments where required
- Work in other areas of the service as and when required
- Other suitable responsibilities as allocated appropriate to the grade of the post
